ESCAPE WITH US ON A 4-DAY LUXURY TRIP TO THE OLDEST WINE REGION IN NEW ZEALAND
Join like-minded mums, sisters and friends on a long weekend escape
From the team that brought you the last sell-out Editors’ Escape, we bring you another unique experience combining travel, tour and taste.
The escapes were created as a way for like-minded mums, sisters and best friends to come together on an unforgettable trip exploring a region's rich and diverse offerings.
On our next escape, you’ll be discovering New Zealand’s oldest wine region - Hawke’s Bay.
The tour departs from Wellington on Thursday 2 April with a chartered train journey to Napier. While there, you’ll be stepping into some of the regions most wonderful homes on a privately hosted tour, visiting award-winning wineries, dining at renowned establishments as well as interacting with local growers and producers. There’ll also be some downtime, giving you the chance to further explore any part of Hawke’s Bay you may wish to.
Accommodation will be in both the Masonic and Te Pania hotels - situated on the popular Marine Parade. There is the option to stay in your own private room or to share with your travel companion, should you have one.
All meals are included in the ticket price as well as your return flight to either Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.
Unlike any other travel package, we offer our readers the unique opportunity to get to know the editorial teams behind the magazine you love to read as the editors of NZ House & Garden and NZ Gardener magazines, Naomi Larkin and Jo McCarroll, will join us on tour.
You’ll also find comfort in our experienced tour leaders - our friendly and trusting crew will ensure that your luxury and comfort is our priority.
NZ House & Garden Editor
The editor of NZ House & Garden, Naomi Larkin, has been working in media for 27 years, both locally and overseas.
She returned to New Zealand at the end of 2015 after 15 years overseas to take up the role of editor of Simply You and manager, special projects at Bauer New Zealand. From there she moved to be the editor of dish, before joining the NZ House & Garden team in May this year.
NZ Gardener Editor
Jo never met a plant she didn't like, and it shows in her Auckland garden where she's attempting to cram in still more vegetables, fruit trees, herbs, shrubs and flowers.
Her favourite part of her job is visiting amazing gardens all around the country, and the chance to meet some of the incredible plantspeople who call New Zealand home
